Pan Seok hopes that Ji Yong’s mother can be a witness in the case. He guarantees her safety.

Ji Yong’s mother risks her life to save Ji Yong.

Ji Yong holds a grudge against Pan Seok as he thinks that Pan Seok is in cahoots with Killer Boots and did not keep his promise to protect his mother. He changes his name to Dae Gu.

They report to work as rookie detectives with different but unbefitting motives.

The rookies eavesdrop on whether they can continue working and heard that Pan Seok decides to give them a chance.

Although Dae Gu is skeptical about finding the gum wrapper in the pile of rubbish, they end up finding it and bringing it back after a nasty fight.

They finally get a chance to work on a case in pairs. A woman that they promise to help catch his stalker is stabbed. Soo Sun and Dae Gu are overcome with guilt.

Pan Seok discovers a bug planted by Dae Gu.

Dae Gu started off as the attacker but ends up being unconscious.

After he recovers (clearing most of his misunderstanding with Pan Seok), Dae Gu wants to kill Boots but saved Boots from his pursuer.

While posing as a real couple for an investigation, real feelings were at play instead.

Tae II got stabbed while trying to protect the pendant, the most important evidence of Ji Young’s mother’s case.

Further development in their relationship.

Korean Drama Review Who are you 2008

Who are you? (2008) 你是谁 ?

who are u 2008

starring Yoon Kye Sang as Cha Seung Hyo and Go Ah Ra as Son Young In, Kang Nam Gil as Son Il Gun.

Seung Hyo was supposed to die after a car accident which many people hoped for. However, Young In’s father begs the grim reaper to give him more time. Therefore, he is allowed to use Seung Hyo’s body. It is very funny whenever he changes to II Gun. It is like complete change in character in 1s. He always ends up doing funny thing which makes people misunderstand and sometimes meets up with the woman he loves when he was alive, causing even more misunderstandings. It is hilarious to watch Seung Hyo’s facial expression after 3 hours when he suddenly finds himself in weird costumes or at wrong places. II Gun seems like an onlooker, at the same time indirectly helping Seung Hyo and Young In get together (much to II Gun’s disgust at first). Without II Gun, Seung Hyo would have passed away as he was severely injured and did not feel any purpose in being alive. It is funny that his secretary even tries to ward off ghosts in his office after noticing his strange behaviour (including being good to her).

Although II Gun and Young In care for each other, they just do not express it or keep finding fault in the other. As Seung Hyo, II Gun even goes to his daughter’s graduation ceremony but obviously Young In does not recognise him. The only thing familiar is the chant he says before they eat which he usually says with his daughter. II Gun suddenly became rich due to his paintings right before he dies, leading to him being murdered. They would not have believed that they would have such a day!

Korean Drama Review You are all surrounded YAAS

You’re all surrounded (2014) 你们被包围了

Genre: Mystery, Crime, Romance, Action, Thriller

Enjoyment: 9/10  Pace: 8/10  No. of times I watched it: 1

you r all surrounded

starring Lee Seung Ki as Eun Dae Gu / Kim Ji Yong, Cha Seung Won as Seo Pan Suk and Go Ah Ra as Uh Soo Sun.

The child actors acted very well, especially the one who played Ji Yong. The drama is definitely a thriller at the start. They solved many different cases even though they ruined the 1st 2 by starting up a fight when they are undercover and letting their guards down. The 3rd one was solved due to luck. They were actually held hostage at a food stall and the one who held them hostage with some high school girls even let a gas leak, threatening that he will kill them. The funny part is Dae Gu and Soo Sun were handcuffed together and they have to pretend that they are a couple to prevent themselves from being found out that they are police. So funny that four people are needed to catch a captor and tie him in a dead knot.

After that, Dae Gu’s identity is slowly revealed and he even got stabbed by the same person who was hunting him down 11 years ago. When they thought that the case was closed, it actually wasn’t and the bad guys are still trying to get rid of him.

At first, Pan Suk thought that they will just cause disasters but changed his mind after that. Looks like there’s a will, there’s a way. Even Dae Gu starts to like his job. Learnt that interest can be developed after sense of accomplishment is felt. Teamwork is important. As they gather their strength, they can solve crimes. A police is a police after all. They have to chase criminals even when they are on a date haha. As it reaches the end, sadly, there does not seem like there is a major climax and the main part of the drama emphasises Dae Gu’s misfortune.
