starring Kim So Yeon as Ma Hye Ri and Park Shi Hoo as Seo In Woo.
Plot: Ma Hye Ri is a woman with an excellent memory and ability to focus, which allowed her to pass the bar exam with ease. Despite her talents, she is more interested in being fashionable and dislikes hard work, so she is far from being an ideal prosecutor and has doubts about her suitability for her job. Through her conflicts with senior colleagues and struggles with difficult cases, however, Hye Ri gradually matures into a brilliant prosecutor with a sense of duty and justice. In Woo is a mysterious person who plans well and secretly helps Hye Ri along the way…
Zoom into characters: Hye Ri is from a rich family and goes through torture to lose weight. Thus, she treasures her body a lot and likes to be fashionable. In Woo who leads a happy life suddenly becomes an orphan after his father is being framed for murder and his mother passed away in a car accident when they are in America. He promised himself to take revenge so he comes back to Korea as a lawyer. He plans in a way that Hye Ri will become a good prosecutor and dig out her father’s wrong doings.
What In Woo did not foresee is that he will fall in love with Hye Ri. Things become more complicated after that and he even wants to give up his revenge plan that he has been planning for many years. The way he looks out for her, even helping her when she is in trouble is done so well that Hye Ri does not realise he has an ulterior motive. He seems like a superhero to her and his heart drop when she confesses to him. I am surprised that his plans actually worked even though there are many different factors that may affect the success of the plan. It is real people he is dealing with. There are many funny scenes such as Hye Ri paying him back in cash once, thinking that it will be difficult to count all the money but In Woo even brought a money counter to count the cash.
Hye Ri changed a lot from the start to the end. At first, she acts like a princess, goes home on time and does not take her work seriously. It is true that there are such things as working hours but it should depend on whether the person has finished her job. There are always Overtime even when studying. Her character is very amusing to watch and it is fun seeing how she matures and grows.
The most interesting part is In Woo disguising himself as different people when meeting people who can serve as witnesses as they know who the murderer is. Instead of taking revenge on the people who lied as witnesses, he helps them and sincerely wants them to prove his father’s innocence. Taking revenge is not always the solution to everything. I heard that after watching this drama, one will become Park Shi Hoo’s fan and it is true.
Why you should watch: If you are interested in law and cases, you can try this out. One of my favourite dramas in 2010! They have good chemistry. Park Shi Hoo’s character was played well and made the drama more fabulous! Addictive revenge drama with a distinct storyline.
