Recommendation: 9/10

My Own Review:

This drama seems to be specially made for my sister haha since she feels that life is tough and wants to meet the author that is controlling her life to change her life completely. 😀 She is comforted by this drama. This drama illustrates that no matter how uncontrollable life is, there will still be a day that you can change it as long as you have the direction and a good mentor.

Liked the fantasy elements in the drama. Like in W-2 worlds (kdrama), He Jie can make things appear or happen by drawing them. After He Jie’s mission in the comic world is completed, it is cool (and scary) how things start to break apart and disappear or fall to kill He Jie or Zi Xing since He Jie is supposed to return to his world and not stay in the comic world. My sister likes the flower He Jie draws specially for Zi Xing to signify their love. It is a flower only both of them know about.

Liked how He Jie is smart and how there are clever plot twists when he deals with situations his own way. It is fun to watch He Jie try his best to ship the lead couple and prevent Zi Xing from falling for the male lead (and commit evil deeds) even though things may not turn out the way he expected. It is interesting that He Jie can feel Zi Xing’s pain (since the real people will be connected to the comic characters their missions involve) and he always seems to be in more pain than her haha. Enjoyed watching how Zi Xing slowly falls for He Jie instead and how He Jie starts to develop feelings for his characters. My sister and I liked how He Jie resolves the conflict with Zi Xing when Zi Xing realises who he actually is. He manages to prove to her that the characters have their own thinking too and it is not always controllable by him. However, towards the end, I felt that the pace of the drama becomes slower and there are not enough emotion-provoking scenes for me.

The male lead and female lead in the comic

My sister likes Pei En Cai’s personality as she is happy and easy-going. Even when she suddenly becomes a poor family’s daughter or when she realises she is just part of a comic, it does not bother her much and she just accepts everything and takes them in stride. That is the personality He Jie gives her and it seems good to have such a personality in real life haha. Gong Chen seems to have it all but he is actually a lonely person that desires freedom. He Jie draws whatever he desires in real life for Gong Chen but did not know that he also draws in his own loneliness for him. It is funny that He Jie draws his own parents as Gong Chen’s parents and is surprised to see them when he goes into the comic world. My sister feels that Gong Chen is generous and loyal to his friend. When He Jie becomes Gong Chen’s friend+personal assistant, he stands up for He Jie and helps He Jie when He Jie needs it.

(The actor acting as) Gong Chen is good-looking haha. But He Jie is also good-looking haha… Although some people may like this couple more than the lead couple, my sister and I liked the lead couple more. Felt that the development of relationship is a little unreal  for the comic’s lead couple. Maybe the lack of evil deeds done by the evil female supporting character after He Jie’s appearance affects the development of their relationship. He Jie actually writes Zi Xing’s experiences and sufferings based on his own experiences which makes my sister think that they will definitely like each other since they are so alike and feels a bit doubtful about their relationship. To me, this is not really a problem since in real life, being similar does not necessarily mean you will fall in love with the person. It is just an added advantage in a relationship since they can understand each other better.

My sister doesnt like Zi Xun as he only aims to prove himself and show that what he did was right. This kind of people is pathetic even though they cant help it. As Bai Lian comes from the real world, both of them cant remain in the comic world after her mission is complete and one of them has to die. Bai Lian chooses to sacrifice herself. Zi Xun feels angry with himself as he does not want to lose what he has in the comic world and doesnt try to stop her. Before Bai Lian dies, He Jie gives her his magical pen as a present (if i didnt remember wrongly). Zi Xun later becomes evil and uses He Jie ‘s magical pen for evil deeds. The character Zi Xun does add some thriller and conflicts towards the end though. Liked how Bai Lian is a fan of He Jie and it is cute and sweet whenever she calls him Da Da or gives him the heart hand sign.

Special mentions to the character that often cooks chicken soup as she is always cheerful, loyal to her friends. My sister also likes the policeman that is in charge of logic in the comic. He fills the logic gap whenever it is needed. When He Jie comes to the comic world, he is a great help to He Jie, telling him how to leave the comic world, giving him the magical pen and releasing him from the police station when he was arrested a few times haha.

Singapore Drama Review 心。情

Finished most of this drama before it was screened and finished the rest recently. It is the first time that all the episodes are on toggle before it is screened on TV so good chance to finish it without waiting haha. Remember having an argument with my sister as she was keen on watching this drama while I wanted to do my own things so she watched 1/2 episodes without me haha… Doing this by memory.

Mind matters (2018) 心。情

Genre: Mental illness, Romance, Family, Comedy

Enjoyment: 10/10  Pace: 9/10

starring Qi Yuwu as Zhuo Jinshu, Jesseca Liu as Qin Xiuxiu, Denise Camillia Tan as Zhang Siya, Shane Pow as Hu Ruiming, Teresa Tseng as Lu Haining, Florence Tan as Zhou Riqing, Chen Tianwen as Lu Liangsheng, Ivan Lo as Fang Zhixing

As this drama is related to psychology and Qi Yuwu is in it, I was attracted to it and decided to try it with my sister. First time seeing Qi Yuwu acting comedy scenes haha. This drama has a solid plot and the pace was good though it slows down a bit towards the end. The graphic in this drama, the plot and pace somehow make me feel that I am not watching a Singapore Drama but more of a Korean Drama. Maybe it is because the male lead has a traumatic or sad past that he wants to hide which is very common in Korean Dramas but not that common in Singapore Dramas?

Liked Qi Yuwu’s character, Jinshu, a lot in this drama. He is comical whenever he talks (with a soft voice my sister finds irritating) but maybe the words are meant to reach the subconscious? Haha. It is funny how the drama starts with him singing the toilet song. It is funny when he promotes his current occupation, the plumber, to others and gives them his flyers. While he hides his identity as a former psychiatrist, it seems like it is still second nature for him to discover people’s mental illnesses and help them since he always somehow ends up being the source of help and someone dependable for those with mental illnesses in the neighborhood haha. Liked how he is sociable and good at forming relationships with anyone, a quality that is hard for me to develop haha. Liked the soft toy that Jinshu hugs at night haha. Liked Qi Yuwu’s acting throughout the drama and liked how he portrayed the emotional struggle his character faces as he is disturbed by a traumatic event he cannot escape. As his character is confident, carefree and seems to have everything under control, there is a greater contrast seen compared to other characters when his helplessness is shown. It is sad that for mental illnesses, although you may be well-aware of how to treat others, it is hard to treat yourself and you have to be brave enough to confront your own fears, guilt or any strong negative emotion first.

It is funny when we are introduced to Xiuxiu. When a person who wants to rent a room in the house visits it, the person sneezing and all the germs and dirt the person brought was magnified. Xiuxiu’s reactions were funny. Although I know that a person with OCD is suffering inside when they are obsessed with doing something, I cant help but had fun watching Xiuxiu clean the house multiple times, especially at one scene where Jinshu plays chess with Liangsheng in the house to show him Xiuxiu’s true self and let Liangsheng consider if he can accept that part of her. Jinshu even has to raise his legs while playing chess and she seems to clean the house the whole day. Liked the development of relationship between Jinshu and Xiuxiu. It is fun to watch Jinshu and Xiuxiu bickering a lot at the start and I liked how Jinshu has his own way to deal with Xiuxiu’s rebellious son, Zhixing, as they live under one roof. As the drama goes, Jinshu and Xiuxiu start to accept each other and gradually become each other’s great support.

Liked Ivan Lo’s acting in some dramas but somehow he just doesnt get awards for his good acting. I guess it is due to the roles he acts in. Anyway, the awards usually dont end up where I wanted them to haha. For this drama though, I feel that he didnt totally become the character. The anger his character often portrays feels a little forced. However, I liked how his character adds some evilness to the plot. As his character suffers from anti-social personality disorder, he does not have much feelings towards other people and would not feel anything if he harms others.

Although Zhixing and his mother, Xiuxiu, cannot communicate well, I liked how they look out for each other and protect each other with or without the other party knowing about it. Enjoyed watching the growth of Zhixing as he learns to better communicate with others towards the end and finally being able to reciprocrate the love his mother gives directly. Liked the friendship between Ruiming and Zhixing. When Zhixing is unhappy, he can seek refuge at Ruiming’s house and play video games with him. Ruiming who doesnt go out of the house often can take care of him like an elder brother. They dont have to talk much to communicate with each other. Liked Zhixing’s way of talking in the drama and my sister and I laughed at his last scene of appearance when he makes a short and frank comment on Ruiming and Siya’s interaction.

Liked the development of relationship and chemistry between Ruiming and Siya. Enjoyed watching their interaction as their relationship grows. It was awkward at the start as Siya’s clothes drop to Ruiming’s apartment’s clothes hanging area (?) and Ruiming was seen dancing with it by Siya haha…After that, Ruiming becomes a great help to Siya as he is good with websites and coding. As they become closer, they also help each other overcome the psychological illness they each have. Felt that Ruiming’s gesture whenever he tries to say no is cute haha. Liked how Siya likes to tease him after they become friends. The confession scene was sweet and funny. Found the scene where Ruiming chases after the bus to stop Siya from leaving hilarious. The scene is quite common in dramas but I think it is the first time I see the male lead manages to get up the bus because the bus broke down. It seemed like he wont be able to get up the bus as he was having a hard time chasing it haha. Liked their acting in this drama! They managed to portray not only the characters well, but also the psychological illness each of them has. Liked how they each portrayed the character’s emotional struggle when they are affected by their psychological illnesses. Admired how they are resourceful and are able to make good use of their area of expertise or strengths to earn money. May become a fan of each of them after this drama haha. Liked this couple a little more than the Jinshu+Xiuxiu couple. Maybe because they have more chemistry than the Jinshu+Xiuxiu couple? Or is it because they are younger and more relatable to me haha?

Special mentions to Teresa Tseng (character suffering from Bulimia Nervosa), Florence Tan (character suffering from Bipolar disorder), Chen Tianwen (character suffering from Paraphilia) who acted well. It is funny that so many types of mental illnesses are gathered at the neighborhood haha. Although Haining, Jinshu’s former patient and now a psychiatrist, has good intentions in pushing Jinshu to seek help and move on from the past, I didnt really like her most of the time as she forces him to change and also wants him to like her back. Liked how they dedicated a drama to mental illnesses to spread awareness about them. Mental illnesses are actually quite common but people somehow treat them like a taboo and feel fearful about people with such illnesses. I guess this is the only sg drama I enjoyed this year. Dont know if I missed out any other good ones?

Feel that this drama is lucky as I usually dont put so many pictures haha.

Singapore Drama Review 你也可以是天使

You can be an angel too (2015) 你也可以是天使

Genre: Medical, Family, Romance

Enjoyment: 9/10  Pace: 8/10

starring Zoe Tay 郑惠玉as Wang Ruojun 王若君, Bryan Wong 王禄江as Xie Yaozong 谢耀宗, Elvin Ng 黄俊雄 as Fu Jiazi 傅家梓,Rebecca Lim 林慧玲 as Guan Xinni  关馨霓 , Xu Bin 徐彬 as Fu Jiaren 傅家任 , Sheila Sim 沈惠怡 as Liu Youle 刘佑乐, Jayley Woo 胡佳琪 as Dai Xiwen 戴希雯, Aloysius Pang 冯伟衷as Li Longhua 李龙华.

The case that touches me the most is Tianxiang’s case. He is a teenager who suffers from brain cancer and passes away soon after. While his peers may be envious of his long leave from school, he just wants to be well and doing what his peers are doing, including sitting for examinations. I cannot imagine the suffering due to the physical pain and mental depression a patient like this faces. It is heartbreaking to see him pass away at such a young age, especially when his parents desperately want him to live. At least he manages to realise his dream and experience being a pilot. This suggests that a short life with dreams is more meaningful than a long life without goals. I don’t think I will ever want to be a doctor or nurse. Although I can help to alleviate their pain, I cannot prevent a patient from passing away. Imagine seeing so many heartbreaking cases in my everyday life…

Bryan Wong’s character added a lot of humour into this drama with his funny, incredulous blurt of “What?!” whenever he does not understand Xinni or with the  funny descriptions he makes. I admire how he is so thrifty (or to the extent of stingy) yet he gives others so generously. He even washes his clothes and bathes at the same time to save money from using his house’s water. When he can simply buy and give others, he would rather make it himself, no matter it is food or clothes. Even his planned wedding does not include a grand banquet as he thinks that it is the affair of just the 2 of them. On the contrary, he gives the grandmother who sells magazines $100 and helps many families in need with his time and money. When he is hospitalised and almost died, I am touched that many of his beneficiaries want to visit him and give him well-wishes.

It is shocking to see (between Xinni and XYZ) that there can be so many misunderstandings one can make of another person. It is sad to see that many of the patients have unfilial children. Some even have no choice but to make another patient his/her guardian who helps to make decisions which is kind of ridiculous. I sympathise with Youle for being badly treated at her brother’s house. In order to make money, her brother and his wife made Youle sleep in a cramp storeroom so that they can rent out Youle’s room. There are many unfair restrictions and “neglect” Youle faced. On the other hand, when her brother faces financial problems and addiction to gambling, she does not hesitate to help out. It is funny how Jiaren keeps changing job from a person who writes critics to lifeguard to actor…

I am… Korean Web Drama

i am...

I am… (2017)

Episodes: 6

Cast: Jung Chae Yeon as Annie

Recommendation: 6/10

My Own Review: Although Annie was created using the memory of the scientist’s wife, she said that she was not the scientist’s wife. I like how Annie can feel unique although her memories and character is just an input done by the scientist. Overall, this drama is considered okay but it will be best if the artificial intelligence’s character is more complex and evoke more feelings.

Korean Drama Review AYHT

This post is delayed for quite some time. Finished this drama at around September this year. Finally have the time and motivation to sit down and write this review haha. Doing this by memory.

Are you human too? (2018) 你也是人類嗎?

Genre: Science-fiction, Mystery, Action, Romance, Family

Enjoyment: 9.5/10  Pace: 9/10, 8/10 towards the end  No. of times I watched it: 1

starring Seo Kang Joon as Nam Shin / Nam Shin III, Gong Seung Yun as Kang So Bong, Lee Joon Hyuk as Ji Young Hoon, Kim Sung Ryung as Oh Ro Ra (Nam Shin’s mother), Park Young Kyu as Nam Gun Ho, Choi Duk Moon as David, Kim Won Hae as Kang Jae Sik

Plot: After his father passes away and he is being forced to separate from his mother by his grandfather, Nam Shin lives a lonely life as the heir of a big corporation. As he is about to uncover the truth about his father’s death and goes to find his mother (if i didnt remember wrongly), he is knocked down by a truck. Just before he gets into the accident and falls into coma, he sees a person that looks exactly like him, an AI robot his mother (a renowned scientist) built. When the accident occurs, his mother is nearby too and sees it. She is devastated and later asks the robot to take over Nam Shin for the time being to protect his place until he regains consciousness and recovers.

The pace for this drama is very good at the start and I was watching faster than it can be screened but as it goes the pace becomes slower, though still at an acceptable pace to me. I like dramas where there are twins in it which confuse people in the drama and this fits well as Nam Shin III, the robot, and Nam Shin, the human, look alike even though they act in different ways.

Although the main character is a robot, there was a certain amount of intensity of feelings of suffering and pain evoked in the drama as the robot works to protect Nam Shin’s place until he returns, works to be accepted and to be treated as a person. My (cute) sister can be seen crying every episode haha… She feels sad that the robot is consistently so selfless, innocent and nice even when being treated badly by people around it. She is sad that the robot doesnt have feelings to truly understand that it is badly treated and defend itself or fight back. But after the drama, my sister realises that the feelings she feels in the drama is  just her own feelings, not how the robot would feel. It is better not to have feelings after all so you dont feel the unintentional harm others attempt to give you and be consistently what you want to be. Felt that the robot is ideal and this drama shines light on how bad humans actually are and in the process evokes feelings of hardships. From what I felt about this drama, the comedy or happy scenes although fewer (in comparison to sad scenes) wraps the drama nicely with a layer of light-hearted feeling.

I felt that the robot would make a nice friend haha. It is smart and I can gain knowledge while talking to it. It can help me with whatever I need help with. When I need comforting or a listening ear, there is someone who can listen to me patiently without dismissing me, saying things that make it worse or putting too much feelings into it. No feeling warmth is sometimes better than warmth given by people as people are subjective and more or less judging. Loved how the robot has many different functions such as hacking into systems and traffic lights, turning on/off lights without touching the switch, recommending the best place to eat, telling if the person is lying by holding his/her hand, imitating any action, locating people, saving people, checking if people are unwell etc.

Liked the development of relationship and the chemistry between So Bong and Nam Shin III. Unlike most robot dramas where the robot only loves and follows the instructions of the one person (the main lead) from the start, the relationship between So Bong and Nam Shin III is taken step by step. Nam Shin III gets to interact with people around him and build relationship and trust slowly with all of them, including So Bong. So Bong disliked Nam Shin III for some time after realising he is a robot and finally accepts him as he is, and later tells him not to live for others. Enjoyed their interactions as they become bodyguard and heir, owner and slave, friends and finally lovers and protectors of each other. Touched by the comfort Nam Shin III can give to the frightened So Bong when he saves her a few times and wraps his arms around her. Although he is a robot (or due to him being a naive robot), his words sometimes come out as more straightforward, heartwarming and sweeter than humans’ haha. Liked his smile, especially when he smiles at So Bong. Felt that it is sweet whenever So Bong calls him by “Tin Can”. It was cool and a little romantic when he covers So Bong’s eyes and turns on all the lights with his robot function in order to help So Bong find her mother’s necklace that she dropped in the pool. Felt sad at the scene where Nam Shin III helps her put on her mother’s necklace that she accidentally left behind and tells her he will go back to being people’s slave and “goodbye for real”.

Liked how there are human elements nicely carved into the robot’s relationship building. Although the person may reject being comforted, Nam Shin III still attempts to make the person open up to him in his way. When So Bong left him once, there was an error and the images and memories of her kept appearing just like when humans miss someone and keep thinking of the person. When his rule changed to protecting So Bong, his mother (the robot creator) felt that he is not listening to her instructions anymore just like how human parents feel when their child wants to be with someone they oppose haha. Liked the rule that he has to hug the person when he/she cries. It is sad at first as the mother uses it to seek comfort from her son that she cannot be with when Nam Shin III hugs her but as the drama goes, it is used well in the interaction between So Bong and Nam Shin III. This drama subtly makes me think of Nam Shin III as a person rather than just an object throughout it.

Liked Seo Kang Joon’s acting a lot in this drama! May become his fan because of that haha… He acted well as the carefree, happy and naive robot Nam Shin III and the lonely and sad Nam Shin who turned evil towards the end. His face looks totally different when acting as either of them, leaving no trace of the other character. Enjoyed the growth of Nam Shin III as he becomes more sensitive, becomes better at making judgement and decisions by himself, and is able to deal with the villains well. It is cool that he can say he is not human or he doesnt have a heart haha (maybe I am crazy but I dont really want to be human)! While I liked Nam Shin III and maybe aim to be as ideal as him, I felt sad for Nam Shin. It is understandable that he will turn evil as his mother used a substitute while he had to endure those many years alone. His mother should have thought of the consequences when she invented the robots. Liked the development of the character of the mother as she intends to just make use of the robots and throw them away afterwards but ends up developing feelings for Nam Shin III but her emotional struggle was not enough for me.

Liked Lee Joon Hyuk’s acting in this drama as Young Hoon. Enjoyed the interactions between Nam Shin III and Young Hoon as Young Hoon guides Nam Shin III to become more like Nam Shin. He seems to be quite a cold person when interacting with Nam Shin III and restricts Nam Shin III’s movements but ends up being amused by Nam Shin III, being touched by Nam Shin III’s words and actions, and sometimes being confused. Also liked the friendship between Nam Shin and Young Hoon. Although Young Hoon is seen as a lower social class than Nam Shin, especially by Nam Shin’s grandfather, Young Hoon is a good emotional support for Nam Shin and only thinks for the best of Nam Shin. Nam Shin treats Young Hoon as his best friend. Young Hoon’s emotional struggle about Nam Shin III as well as the dilemma when he is stuck between helping Nam Shin III and Nam Shin towards the end was well-portrayed.

It was fun to watch Nam Shin III’s interaction with his team at the company. When they discussed about him in the chat group that he was not in, he managed to use his function to look into their computers and answer all their questions much to their surprise. He also turns off their computers without touching them when it is time for lunch (if i didnt remember wrongly). Special mentions (just going to write the characters instead of the actors/actresses) to Nam Shin’s grandfather who is extremely scheming which leads to unexpected yet expected plot twists in the drama, David as Nam Shin III’s caring and supportive father but with a secret, So Bong’s father who dotes on So Bong and wont hesitate to fight for her. Didnt like the reporter who is So Bong’s good friend.

Singapore Drama Review 三个愿望

3 wishes (2014) 三个愿望

Genre: Mystery, Romance, Fantasy, Family, Comedy

Enjoyment: 10/10  Pace: 8/10

starring Thomas Ong 王沺裁 as Zhao Yaozong, Huang Biren 黄碧仁 as Yaozong’s wife (Shanmei) , Shane Pow 包勋评as Zhao Youting, Julie Tan 陈欣淇 as Zhao Xiaomin, Tan Junsheng 陈俊生 as Zhao Chenglong/ Xiaolong, Zhu Houren 朱厚任 as Yaozong’s father, Jin Yinji 金银姬as Yaozong’s mother, Yao Wenlong 姚玟隆 as Zhao Yaozu, Apple Hong 洪乙心 as Yaozu’s wife, Hayley Woo as Winnie.

It makes me wonder if the old woman comes for the better or worse of the family. If she did not come and give them wishes, Shanmei would have died of cancer and Xiaomin would have suffocated to death. However, with the temptation of making more wishes, Xiaomin bears the consequence which makes her lose her legs, hindering her from achieving her dream to become a singer. Besides that, Yaozong may die as the old woman is waiting eagerly to take his life after he makes the 3 wishes (after 1st 3 wishes). Yaozong’s father sustains serious injuries while getting into a fight with his unfilial son, Yaozu, who plans with his wife and seeks every opportunity to steal the wishing coin to become rich.

It is funny whenever Shanmei forces the children to say the phrase “我能,我行,我可以。”( Yes, I can do it!) with her at the starting part of the drama. She just had a thorough medical check-up which shows that she has cancer. Because of that, she starts to be more strict on her children and wants them to do housework or be independent. It is ironic that she believes in real actions with planning and not wishes yet she makes Yaozong make the first wish (a chance to go back to the stable to work). The gesture Yaozong uses to throw the coin out when making a wish is cool! Shanmei is a respectable parent to me. When her daughter loses her legs, Shanmei even travels around in a wheelchair to understand her pain and helps her pull herself together to start life anew. In addition, she helps Xiaomin get an autograph from her favourite celebrity and helps Xiaolong with his homework all the time.

I find Yaozu’s wife very evil. She uses all means to get the wishing coin even kidnapping Xiaolong when she is pregnant and faking pregnancy. She also makes Youting the scapegoat when selling illegal goods for her benefit. When Yaozu’s parents go to their house, she does not give them a comfortable environment in order to make them leave fast. It is ridiculous that Xiaolong gets 270 for Primary School Leaving Examinations and still says that many people get the same marks as him. Haha. Probably it is not out of 300… Wishes may seem like a taboo in this drama but as long as we work hard and have a clear conscience, we can still celebrate sweet success.

When Xiaomin loses her legs, she blames her father and wants to make another wish. I guess when there is an easy way out, people tend to choose it rather than overcome the challenge directly. If it is me, I would rather make a wish to prevent losing my family members than facing reality. I feel sorry for her at first but am glad that she manages to overcome it and can walk normally with the prosthetic legs. Her first boyfriend’s ending turns out to be quite unexpected…It is funny when Yaozong’s mother acts like she wants to run away from home and waits for her grandchildren to hold her back yet Xiaolong will choose that moment to give her her ezlink card for transportation.

The best way to watch Ashes of Love (Dont read if you want to watch the whole drama)

This is my first and maybe last China historical drama haha.

Dont read if you dont want spoiler.

If you dont like tragic/negative/slow-paced parts like me and dont want to skip important parts, I recommend watching the drama this way. My sister would have dropped this drama a lot earlier if she didnt. I tend to scan through dramas quickly or watch random episodes by myself (there are advantages and disadvantages to this)instead of patiently watching episode by episode so i managed to find out what episodes are good to watch haha. Whenever I watch with my sister, we will watch one episode at a time. The episode number is an estimate as different websites may be different. I am basing it on maplestage.

Ep 1-14,17: The development of relationship between Xufeng and Jinmi. The good times and small separations until Runyu uses his “bonded” marriage to his advantage. The portrayal of many related characters.
Xufeng acting ill to test Jinmi.

Second half of Ep 18-32: Xufeng and Jinmi’s relationship starts from scratch as they go to the mortal world and their immortal related memories are erased. Runyu’s past revealed.

Ep 33: Runyu defending his tribe.

Ep 34: Xufeng and Jinmi’s love scenes.

Ep 37: Xufeng saving Jinmi from mother and saving mother from water immortal.

Ep 40: Xufeng being framed for killing Water Immortal.

Ep 43: Jinmi killing Xufeng.

Ep 44-50: Jinmi regrets and tries all ways to revive Xufeng. Xufeng’s mother’s past revealed. Xufeng facing reality and becomes Demon Lord.

Ep 57 -final episode: Xufeng and Jinmi’s set-up marriage, Jinmi sacrificing herself, everything sorted out

Use this as a guide if you need haha. Let’s see if there will be any other China historical drama in the future that can capture my attention and make me want to chase it.
